About Us

Sustainability is key to us

In all our activities, we evaluate impact on the environment and strive for the most sustainable processes and materials throughout. What are our specific steps?

We provide bookshelves for children and patients

We provide bookshelves for children and patients

During the setup of production equipment, a few copies with minor defects are produced that make the book unsaleable. For a layperson, however, these defects are often invisible and the book is still fully readable. That is why at TNM we created the programme Books Help and in cooperation with our clients, we make these books available to hospitals, children's homes or doctors' surgeries. We strive to ensure that books that would normally end up in recycling can still bring joy to someone. If you are interested in joining the programme, please contact our sales department.

For auxiliary manual or packaging work, we cooperate with a sheltered workshop in Poděbrady, to which we have lent our own packing machine. We strive to create job opportunities in our region and support those of us who have not been as fortunate in life as others.

We use machines with the lowest carbon footprint possible

We use machines with the lowest carbon footprint possible

For the production of our books and other printed materials, we work closely with suppliers of machinery, who prioritise reduction of their carbon impact. For example, the Japanese company Komori, from which we use the Lithrone G40P and GL 540 HC+HUV printing machines, has reduced its carbon footprint by 30% over the last 10 years and plans to be CO2 neutral by 2050. Müller Martini, our supplier of the Diamant M35 casing-in machine and the VENTURA MC sewing machine, is part of the Blue Competence initiative, which aims to promote sustainable solutions in industry that lead to new energy concepts, efficient use of limited resources or improvement of quality of life.

The inks we use – Epple Extreme PSO – are environmentally friendly. These are process inks that are up to 80% based on renewable raw materials. Epple with its Extreme PSO ink was awarded the CRADLE TO CRADLE bronze medal.

We use paper from responsible forestry

We use paper from responsible forestry

In production, we work with certified paper and we are happy to produce a book for our clients where it is guaranteed that the paper used for its production was made from wood from sustainably managed forests with a traceable origin of wood. The Forest Stewardship Council® is an international non-profit organisation founded in 1993. The basic idea of the FSC is to promote environmentally responsible, socially beneficial and economically viable management of the world's forests, thereby helping to protect the world's disappearing, threatened and devastated forests.

TNM Print has own source of renewable energy

In 2020, a photovoltaic power plant was installed on the roofs of our production facility, which was expanded in 2024. The PV plant helps us partially cover the energy needed for the production of books and other printed materials with our own green electricity and thus contributes to environmental protection. In production, we also strive to utilise waste heat that is naturally generated by the operation of our machines, for example for tempering the paper warehouse.
