Le Grand Off 2026 Festival, France

Although this year’s Angoulême International Comics Festival was canceled, the city was still buzzing with comics. The atmosphere was carried over by the more intimate Le Grand Off 2026, which we attended—and even on a smaller scale, it retained the enthusiasm, energy, and humanity that are an integral part of the comic book world. We met several of our clients there, but above all, we met many passionate people who not only love comics but literally live and breathe them. Among them was Denis Debrosse, a man who lives and breathes the Angoulême International Comics Festival and whose dedication is a true inspiration.

We sincerely hope that all current issues can be resolved and that the festival can once again welcome tens of thousands of visitors next year, just as it has in the past. And if it ultimately takes a different path—one that embraces alternatives, fosters closer ties with creators, and returns to its roots—it may be a direction that brings new strength and future success.
